Brandon began his career as an educator, working directly with young people and witnessing both their brilliance and the barriers limiting their access to opportunity. Over time, one guiding question shaped his work: "How can we grant greater access to high school students to meaningful career exploration experiences?"
That question sparked something much bigger.
Drawing from lived classroom experience, systems-level insight, and research from some of the most innovative career-connected learning models across the country, Brandon began to imagine a potential shift:
What if educators could serve not only as full-time classroom leaders, but also as talent ambassadors — trusted connectors between schools and industry?
This vision became Connections to Careers (C2C).
C2C reimagines the career trajectory of educators themselves. It positions them as year-round instructional experts and part-time summer experience coordinators who design, manage, and deepen authentic employer partnerships. In doing so, educators build industry fluency, expand their own professional pathways, and unlock new opportunities for students.
What began as a question about student access has grown into a transformative idea for the field of education — one that redefines how schools, educators, and employers collaborate to build talent, advance equity, and shared impact.
