The following chart details the major milestones of the C2C summer experience, which operates formally from January through October. While the structured program concludes in the fall, we encourage ongoing, informal collaboration between employers, educators, and school communities throughout the remainder of the academic year.

Reimagine your talent development by connecting with exceptional educators through a unique summer experience and innovative talent acquisition process.

Step 1
Partner with C2C: Host an Educator & Shape the Future
Host an educator intern and experience how the unique partnership model can help expand and deepen corporate impact by empowering educators and inspiring youth.

Step 2
Educator-Employer Matching
Connections to Careers facilitates a matching process involving resumes, written responses, and interviews, followed by a meet-and-greet to establish the partnership.

Step 3
Employer-Educator Onboarding
Matched educators visit the employer site to meet team members, understand the work environment, and explore key projects, preparing for their summer involvement while showcasing their skills and interests.

Step 4
Project Alignment and Development
Educators and employers collaborate to align the educator’s role with existing or new projects, ensuring both organizational priorities and meaningful educator experiences are met.

Step 5
Youth Recruitment and Selection
In spring, educators recruit NYC youth interns from their schools, ensuring alignment between students, educators, and employers for a cohesive summer internship experience.

Step 6
Summer Internship Experience
In July, educators and interns join employers on-site, participating in team meetings and real-world projects that foster hands-on experience, skill-building, and professional connections.

Step 7
End-of-Summer Celebration
The summer culminates in a celebration where participants share stories and projects, reflect on successes, and provide feedback for future improvements.

Step 8
Pathway to Hiring Educators
Employers evaluate the potential of hiring educators as long-term contributors to their organizations. By observing the educator's skills and impact during the program, employers can identify future collaboration or employment opportunities.
